TTouch Bracelets to Support Our South African Project
A message from Linda
At the CELLebration this November, we offered several new items in our store which I want to share with you. I often am awakened at 3:30 a.m. with inspirational concepts in my head, and if I don’t get up and write down the ideas, they somehow float away and are gone. One such inspiration was to offer rubber bracelets as a fundraiser for CLAW (Community Lead Animal Welfare), the organization headed by Cora Bailey in Soweto, South Africa. This organization has the duel purpose of feeding approximately 100 AIDs orphans and spaying, neutering and feeding the dogs and kitties who are sometimes the only companions of these darling children.
At the 2006 CELLebration we held a fun auction and raised $4500 for this organization by auctioning various items (my personalized Stetson cowgirl hat went for $500, my silver spurs for $500, my trophy saddle for $1000, and my German riding skirts and Indian jewelry also brought quite a bit). I initially planned to have another auction this year at the CELLebration, but decided with the financial climate in the country I did not feel this was appropriate. Instead we used that time to hold a council to discuss how we can bring TTouch even more into animal shelters or disaster areas such as the tragic Katrina and 9/11 attack. During both of those disasters and their aftermath we had TTouch practitioners working unofficially with the rescued animals, as well as with the dogs who were used in the search and rescue efforts.
We did a small fundraiser with the rubber bracelets at the CELLebration. As many of you know, I pay attention to the influence color has on us. We created an orange bracelet with the words "Remember Your Perfection" — a reminder to our cells that helps boost our immune systems and keeps us in a state of gratitude. The orange color helps release old patterns of behavior — something we can all work on.
The green bracelet represents healing and nature, and is imprinted with "Webbing the World with TTouch Heart Hugs". The "webbing the world" represents the "net" or "divine matrix" that joins us all together and of course, the world wide web through which we stay connected with the 28 countries where our TTouch Practitioners share the work, along with many other countries where we have TTouch family members.
These TTouch bracelets sell for $4.00 and both were made in America of 100% recycled material. I hope you order several for yourself and for stocking stuffers!
